History
In 1977, Mr. George Derr founded a company that initially providing
production metal stampings for the automotive and
appliance industries. In 1988, Mr. Derr acquired Jena
Tool — an established, respected tool and
die shop with precision machining
services and full design capabilities, founded in 1968.
When the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was ratified by
the United States, Mexico and Canada, Jena Tool sought out
and found a strategic partner located in Mexico City. Its proximity
to significant OEM manufacturing operations made a new joint venture,
Racsa-Wren an inevitable success.
Today, the combined strengths of these companies, under the umbrella
of Jena Tool Group, is strategically positioned to offer
a full line of manufacturing services to manage
your program from concept to production and beyond.
Mr.
Derr, a US veteran, still owns and is actively involved in the
business.
